Professional Building won HRACRE Award

We’re excited to share that our Professional Building Adaptive Reuse project in downtown Portsmouth has been recognized with an HRACRE (Hampton Roads Association for Commercial Real Estate) Award of Merit in the Best Renovated or Historic Rehabilitation Project Category!

This project is a testament to the power of visionary transformation—converting outdated office space into vibrant residential units that respond directly to local housing needs. We also brought back the building’s original historic storefront design, revitalizing the street level and enhancing neighborhood connectivity.

Huge thanks to our client Tim Foley of Lightwell Development for the chance to be part of this impactful project. Your vision and trust made all the difference.

And of course, big congrats to our amazing collaborators: Ringenberg Construction, LLC, Commonwealth Preservation Group, LLC, AES Consulting Engineers, Speight • Marshall • Francis, Roach Consulting Engineers, —this recognition belongs to all of us!

We also want to extend our appreciation to YUZHU ZHENG for the beautiful photography.
