The Ruff House Play & Stay

The sister location of Bayside Kennels, the Ruff House project covers a 10,000SF dog daycare and boarding facility located in Chesapeake, VA. The design involved converting an existing warehouse/office complex into a welcoming and functional space for doggies and other animals with good flow for easy operations. Multiple discussions with the clients about dog and other animal behaviors, as well as proper workflow for customers and staff contributed to the overall design.

The design involved converting an existing warehouse/office complex into a welcoming and functional space for doggies and other animals with good flow for easy operations. Multiple discussions with the clients about dog and other animal behaviors, as well as proper workflow for customers and staff contributed to the overall design. A combination of materials, including reclaimed wood and corrugated metal panels, allow for low maintenance of the doggie friendly environment as well as keeping the industrial look of the original building in tact.
