GARC is an award-winning design firm based in Norfolk, VA. We are looking for a talented and experienced architectural designer to join us. The goal is to nurture long term employment by learning and growing in our unique studio environment and by working on project aspects that highlight your skill sets and benefit both your career and our firm.

Responsibilities

• Projects include residential, multi-family, commercial, mixed-use, and institutional. 
• Field measurements and creation of existing site / floor plans
• Prepare architectural design drawings in all phases of a project
• Produce architectural details from sketches
• Prepare client presentations
• Coordination with consultants

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Architecture at an NAAB-accredited school of architecture
• A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience in Architectural design, drafting, and construction drawings within the United States, preferably in Virginia
• Currently licensed or seeking licensure is preferred
• Basic understanding of codes and ADA and Ability to research and learn various codes and ordinances
• Must be proficient using Revit in producing complex models and construction documents
• Ability with Adobe Creative Suites, Microsoft Office and Excel
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills
• Ability to effectively meet deadlines at expected quality
• Self-motivated and strong willingness to learn and grow
• Good team player
