Architectural Designer Level II
GARC is an award-winning design firm based in Norfolk, Virginia. We are seeking a talented and motivated Architectural Designer to join our collaborative team. Responsibilities
- Work on a variety of project types, including commercial, mixed-use, institutional, and residential.
- Conduct field measurements and create existing condition 3D models and drawings in Revit.
- Develop detailed architectural drawings from sketches and concepts.
- Prepare comprehensive architectural design drawings across all project phases in Revit.
- Create engaging client presentations and design packages.
- Coordinate with consultants and collaborate within project teams.
- Support construction administration activities as needed.
Qualifications
- Professional degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience in architectural design, drafting, and construction documentation within a U.S.-based architectural design firm (experience in Virginia preferred).
- Licensure or active pursuit of licensure preferred.
- Working knowledge of zoning and building codes, with a demonstrated ability to research and interpret regulations.
- Strong proficiency in Revit for modeling and producing construction documents is required.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
- Excellent communication, organization, and client interaction skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet project deadlines with high-quality results.
- Self-motivated, eager to learn, and thrives in a team-oriented studio environment.
